how to choose your caterer

1. Decide the flavor of your event: Formal with traditional meals, casual, or something completely off the rails.
2. Will your event include alcohol, and if so, do you prefer one caterer for both food and bar service? (All events with alcohol must be serviced by a licensed liquor caterer)
3. Once you narrow down your caterers by the type of food you desire and whether or not they offer alcohol service, reach out. Some questions you may have for them would include: Do they provide plates, utensils, napkins, food-table linens, etc.? Will the plates be glass or paper and the silverware, real or plastic? Does their catering include a staffed service? ie: they set up, serve, clean up, and package any leftovers? Are these leftovers yours to take home?
